R.M.S. Titanic Model

The Titanic model was created by Brandon Hedrick in 2005 when he was a Third Grade Student at Needmore Elementary School. His teacher: Mr. Ed Franklin

The model was part of a rolling book report school project in Mr. Franklin’s class at Needmore Elementary School. Each student in the class read a book or books, then explained the book(s) by creating a model. Students all read and created their own models. The models were then moved about to be enjoyed by other students. Prizes were awarded.

The year before he created this model, young Brandon created a 911 model that won first prize.

Brandon Hedrick is now and adult and is currently (2021) employed by the City of Bloomington.

Mr. Franklin is retired.

The model was donated by his father, Steve Gilbert. Information received from his mother, Angie.
